Tagged Fish Rules
Please note: Rules Below area brief guideline only and are not meant to be all inclusive. The Policy is specific to a particular event and has its own specific Policy Warranties, Terms and Conditions.
Only amateurs will be allowed to participate. (An amateur is defined anyone who does not use this sport as a means of livelihood.)
Cover is contingent on all competition and provincial rules being adhered to at all times.
All entrants must be officially registered before the commencement of the event.
The winner’s claim must be verified and signed off by a Marshall. Fish presented for claim must be alive
and presented the day it is caught.
Lakes/ dams or rivers may not be temporarily dammed for this Event/Tournament.
The use of nets to catch fish is prohibited.
A specifically identifiable non-metallic tag will be used.
The location of released tagged fish will not be known to Entrants.
Tagged fish will be wild or indigenous to the area.
Record of the point of release of tagged fish will be kept.
Organizers of the Event and their families and Person(s) who released tagged fish will be excluded
from Event/Tournament.
Only one fish per prize will be tagged
Tagged fish must be released no less than three days (72 hours) and no more than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to Event/Tournament date.
All claims must be presented within three (3) days of the close of event(s).
If there is a winning Claim, a date and time verifiable photo of the winning fish CLEARLY showing the
Tag Number and Entrant must be submitted and WILL be used to support a Claim.
Any deviation from the Rules above, or Policy Warranties, Terms and Conditions must be discussed with, and approved in writing by ITOO Special Risks.
